Welcome to the Canton of Nordleigh home page. We are currently a child group of the Barony of Nordskogen existing in these the current middle ages.

Nordleigh is located in the area south of the Twin Cities. Traditionally it encompassed the St. Olaf and Carleton campuses, and the city of Northfield, MN. Our borders  are in the process of being redrawn to officially include the south-of-the-river  suburbs as well as the Northfield area.

Who are we?

We are a chapter of The Society for Creative Anachronism, Inc or SCA as it is often referred to.

What is that you ask?

“The SCA is an international organization dedicated to researching and re-creating the arts and skills of pre-17th-century Europe. Our "Known World" consists of 19 kingdoms, with over 30,000 members residing in countries around the world. Members, dressed in clothing of the  Middle Ages and Renaissance, attend events which  feature tournaments, royal courts, feasts, dancing, various classes & workshops, and more.”

The information included in this website is to not only keep our current members up to date on the happenings within our Canton but to reach out and give more information to those who are new to the Canton or interested in becoming part of our local group or the SCA in general.

So welcome to one and all come on in take a look around and if you like what you find stay awhile.
